The first film, released in 2020, raked in an impressive $319 million worldwide and made history as the highest-grossing video game adaptation in North America. The latest installment, which introduced Shadow the Hedgehog, has earned a whopping $422 million, contributing to the franchise’s overall success of over $1 billion.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a fourth film, especially after the mid-credits scene in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 teased the arrival of a beloved character.
