Conor McGregor exposed by journalist over swiftly deleted tweet as UFC fighter’s spokesperson issues statement – UFC

Conor McGregor recently made headlines for sending a controversial message to journalist Paul Healy on social media. Healy, known for his work as a crime correspondent, took to Twitter to expose McGregor’s deleted post, which sparked a heated exchange between the two.

In the post, Healy revealed that McGregor’s spokesperson had initially provided a professional comment to him, only to be met with a disrespectful message from McGregor, calling him “smelly.” Healy managed to capture a screenshot of the message before it was removed, challenging McGregor to address the issue in person.

The screenshot displayed McGregor referring to Healy as “smelly” and a derogatory term, leading to a public confrontation initiated by the journalist. McGregor, who has been dealing with legal troubles, including a rape accusation in 2018, has not fought since July 2021 due to injury. However, he hinted at a potential return to the UFC, possibly against Michael Chandler.

Chandler, who recently faced Charles Oliveira in a match, expressed interest in squaring off against McGregor in the Octagon. McGregor seemed receptive to the idea, suggesting a potential future showdown with Chandler. Their social media exchange has fueled speculation about a potential matchup between the two fighters in the near future.
